Mario Fantin, our lead gyroscope surveyor is the most experienced operator of DMT Gyroscopes in Australia. He has performed successful campaigns across Australia and overseas in tunnelling, underground metal and coal mines.

The Gyromat 3000 combined with the 1 second Leica TS15's has a standard deviation of 1 milligon for azimuth. In practical terms using our quality procedures and checks, including multiple drops and measurements from both terminal points, can provide you with a standard deviation of azimuth in the order of 2 seconds. Whilst manual targeting can be used, the Leica Total Station's Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) (not available on earlier gyroscope models), further adds to the pointing accuracy which provides confidence and consistency.
